Next Year I'll Be Perfect Review

Next Year I'll Be Perfect was a delightful story about Sarah who was putting pressure on herself to achieve all that she'd written on a TO DO LIST a few years back. And who hasn't felt inadequate or the pressure to achieve certain things in life by a major milestone, which in this case would be her 30th birthday.
I think a true strength of the writing in this book was that the characters were very realistic and the things that Sarah was going through were also very realistic. I am sure most of us can identify with that need to feel like we are going somewhere in life and have felt like life is passing us by.
I truly enjoyed Laura's book and really think that she has a lot to offer as an author. I'll be looking forward to her next one eagerly!

Next Year I’ll be Perfect is Laura Kilmartin’s first novel.   She previously published four essays in Write for the Fight:  A Collection of Seasonal Essays.  All author royalties from that collection have been donated to breast cancer charities.

Laura is an attorney who lives and works in her native Southern Maine.  A pop culture savant, she loves to read, write, travel and collect DVDs of cancelled TV shows in her spare time.  Please visit Laura’s blog at http://laurakilmartin.com or follow her (@LauraCKilmartin) on Twitter.
