I really really wanted to get into this book, but unfortunately I didn't really. I liked the idea of the story very much but I feel like the story was perhaps a bit rushed as it seemed to move from event to next event at an alarming pace. Perhaps I misunderstood the time frame that the story actually did take place over but it seemed like everything happened in a matter of a couple of months which seemed unlikely.
I did like that the characters had realistic flaws but I found that their naivete was a bit disconcerting as I can't see anyone being that extreme, but I suppose it's possible.
I think that this author has great potential though as there were many enjoyable aspects even if I didn't enjoy the story as a whole. I'd definitely look into her next work when it comes out.
Randi Sherman, a native Californian, lives in San Francisco. With her tremendous grasp of the obvious, Randi has always had the ability to find humor in the mundane and share the laughter. Randi would never claim to have a genius IQ, the body of a super model or always have the right thing to wear. However, she can spell the words, “smart” and “
